Water Bottle is a hydration tracking application for Android. This Privacy Policy explains how the app handles your information. By using the app, you agree to the practices described here.
Information the App Uses
To provide personalised hydration recommendations, the app asks for the following during setup:
Personal Details
- Name (optional — used only for display greeting)
- Age
- Gender
- Weight (kg)
- Height (cm)
Lifestyle Preferences
- Activity level
- Climate preference
- Wake-up time & sleep time
Health & Fitness Data
- Water intake logs (amount and time of each entry)
- Daily step count — optional, read from Health Connect
How Your Data Is Used
Your information is used solely to:
- Calculate a personalised daily water intake goal
- Schedule hydration reminders during your awake hours
- Display your water intake history and progress
- Show your daily step count on the dashboard (if enabled)
Data Storage
- No data is sent to any server
- No data is shared with third parties
- No analytics or tracking services are used
- No advertising SDKs are included
- No user accounts are required
- No cloud sync or external backup
Health Connect
The app optionally integrates with Android's Health Connect platform to read your daily step count. This feature:
- Is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission
- Only reads step count data — no other health data is accessed
- Does not write any data to Health Connect
- Step data is shown on-screen only and is not stored permanently by the app
Notifications
The app sends local notifications to remind you to drink water. These notifications are generated entirely on your device — no external push notification service is involved. They can be disabled at any time in the app's settings and always respect your configured sleep schedule.
Data Retention & Deletion
Because all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:
- Your data exists only as long as the app is installed
- Reset your profile any time in the app's Settings
- Delete individual water log entries from the Today's Intake screen
- Uninstalling the app removes all associated data
- Clearing the app's data via Android Settings also removes everything
Children's Privacy
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Third-Party Services
The app does not use any third-party services, SDKs, or APIs that collect user data. The only external integration is Android's Health Connect, which is a system-level platform managed by Google and governed by its own privacy policy.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
